» What percentage of salary should be the House Rent? I am living in Abu Dhabi, where house rents are touching skies (probably literally). Now a question arises, what percentage of salary should be house Rent? Take into account the high inflation in this region in recent years.

It shouldn't be more than 35% if you are married and have your family with you there.
If bachelor, you should share an appartment and percentage should be 25%>

by misskate… A good rule of thumb is a week's salary should cover rent/mortgage.

by arizona wolfman Mortgage companies like to see no more than 33%, but I'd say more than 50% would really make life rough.
