Stop buying bottled water. It takes 3 bottles of water to make one. If you are concerned about impurities in tap water, invest in a filter. For water on-the-go, get a stainless steel water bottle.

Get a second job. Even watching a neighbor’s children a few hours a week could help. Make a list of your talents and interests you could charge for. You might knit, sew or crochet objects to sell at local farmer’s markets this summer.

Buy everything you can second hand. The less we buy from foreign countries, the less oil THEY will use!

Sell some stuff. Go on Craig’s list or e-bay (they are both quite easy to master) to list your articles for sale.

Frequent estate sales. You can find some treasures to sell or for gifts.

Write an e-book and set up a PayPal account (again, very easy to do). You can make money “while you sleep”!

Call all your credit card companies and tell each one that you are going to keep only one card and that is the one with the lowest interest rate and then ask what their offer is.

Learn to cook from scratch: It’s cheaper and far healthier.

Walk. Some researchers have theorized that if Americans used just 10% less oil, gas prices would drop. It’s also much better for your health and well-being.

Stop spending so much money on things you don’t need.

Plant a garden. Compost for fertilizer. Get instructions for both online.

Stop worrying and start acting. Worry just makes your situation worse. Taking positive steps makes positive things happen in your life.
