if this is not a regular event with you…most banks will write off most of it ..but you have to go down and talk to a vp or someone high enough to make a decision….just tell them you thought the mortgage check would not be honored before your other check was posted

Go to the bank and kiss someone's ***. They can legally get that money out of you however they have to. Advice–dont pay bills until money is in the bank.

  • by fukingru… You can't, there is no such thing as a post dated check. As soon as you hand someone the check they can cash it right then and there. So you are liable for the charges to the bank, just try and be careful next time.
  • by kapn I agree…go to the bank and kiss someones @ss…if you are a long time customer of the bank this may work…if not all you will get is chapped lips…
  • by JoAnn N You can go to the bank and talk to the bank manager, if you have been a long time customer they might credit some or all but no guarantee. All you can do is try.

    Good luck!

  • by pebblesp… You may be able to talk to a bank manager and have some of the fees taken off… Just be nice and explain the situation. Sometimes if you cry a little that will help as well…

    good luck
