I personally do not like the companies that charge monthly fees with no set time frame, what real motivation do they have to clean your credit quickly? Obviously if the company cleans your credit fast you will more than likely cancel their service, right? And the companies that charge $500 or more also are in my opinion taking advantage of people when they are most vulnerable.
I have been in the finance business for years and have seen customers walk out with their heads held low after being turned down for a much needed loan, people are desperate at that point and they turn to the wrong Credit Repair Firms.
It’s hard to live with a poor credit rating, people with poor credit pay an average of $200 - $1000 more per month than someone with good credit because of higher interest rates! Or they are forced to put down thousands of dollars to get to a low payment for common needed items such as cars and homes.
Here are important questions you need to ask yourself when looking to hire a company to repair your credit:
Does the company charge a reasonable fee, under $300.00?
Do they charge a monthly fee to finance their service? This one is important, the fees shouldn’t be open ended, they should have a set time frame, otherwise the company could keep charging you monthly fees and not do much work on your credit. Do the math and you’ll see that those “low” monthly fees over the course of a year to two years add up to over a Thousand Dollars!
Does the company offer a 100% Money back Guarantee if there is no positive change to your report? Another very important thing any respectable company should offer.
Do NOT let any credit repair company lead you to believe that they can remove EVERY correct item or that they can create a new positive credit file for you or Add Seasoned Positive Trade Lines, The FTC has stated it is against the law for a Credit Repair Orginization to make such misleading Statements.
Those are very important questions to ask yourself before signing up for any credit repair program, if a Credit Repair Firm abides by these guidelines set you have a found a good company and you should see great results.
Credit Repair is a right and credit repair companies offer their service as a convenience. Credit Repair can be a full time job if you are doing it yourself, so it is great that there are companies out there to help you. Credit Repair is a service, just like lawn care. No company should overcharge for their service, be leary of any that do.
I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
